Virus disinfection in our facility

Our facility pension BAĎO as in response to the current situation, starting from 1 June 2020, active cleaning of the guesthouse premises with active ozone . This will protect our guests and our employees from possible closure of the accommodation premises. With the help of an ozone generator we will regularly carry out deep and ECOLOGICAL disinfection of the premises.

Ozone or “active oxygen” is a gas that, unlike other disinfectants, simply gets everywhere (into all pores of walls, upholstery, etc.) and literally eliminates all forms of disease-causing (pathogenic) microorganisms. After its “work”, the ozone then turns into harmless oxygen.

Ozone is completely environmentally friendly. This means that, unlike the chemical products used in cleaning, it leaves no toxic residues and is environmentally and human health friendly.

An ozonator, ozone generator or ozone cleaner comprehensively cleans the indoor space. It disinfects, removes odors, stale smells; kills lice, viruses, bacteria, mites, pathogenic disease-causing microorganisms, small rodents; removes mold, destroys fungi and neutralizes toxic substances.

Ozone disinfection

Ozone (O3) is known as “activated oxygen” and contains 3 oxygen atoms, unlike the air we breathe which contains two oxygen atoms. Ozone is the second most powerful disinfectant in the world, so it is widely used to permanently remove bacteria, viruses, odors and unwanted smells. As a point of interest, ozone is also found in nature, most commonly formed by lightning. After a thunderstorm, we can feel the pleasant “smell of rain” as a gift of nature. However, it is likely that we hear about ozone most often in the context of the ozone layer surrounding the earth. The ozone layer, formed because of ultraviolet radiation, is important to us because it protects us against harmful UV rays. When dirt, bacteria and viruses come into contact with ozone, they are completely destroyed through an oxidation process. One atom of oxygen is consumed and no smells, no odours, no bacteria … just oxygen. One atom of oxygen is enough. Then the ozone is converted back into oxygen.

The average amount of ozone required is 1gr/hr. for a room of approximately 10 m2 with a height of up to 3 m . At a temperature of 18-23°C, ozone decay takes about 30 min., at half that temperature the time doubles! For the destruction of mould and fungi, it is necessary to use a larger amount of ozone, namely 2gr/hr. The MHC-3 ozone generator, which produces 3gr/hr. ozone is suitable for areas up to 25m2. If the room is an order of magnitude larger, we recommend using a larger capacity ozone generator, e.g. Mobil-O3 type MHC-6. There is no harm from ozone when there is more of it, so using a larger capacity ozone generator in a smaller room is possible. It should be remembered that the ozone molecule O3 changes back to the oxygen molecule O2 after about 30 min, so using a smaller ozone generator in a large room will not give the desired results. The ideal conditions for ozone production are temperatures between 18-24°C and 70% humidity. In summer heat, best results are achieved in air-conditioned rooms.
